Worst experience of my life
Reviewer: Will Never use Tiny Movers again
Years ago I had the misfortune of using Tiny Movers, also known as Tom Thumb, owned by Tom Ingram. When Tom arrived he looked around the place and asked "is it just you?". I guess being a woman, moving along, I was a mark. I was quoted a price. During the move out, Tom would disappear and I'd find him sitting at the truck, killing time. The truck was eventually packed up and they followed me to my new place. Tom, the owner, was in a different truck. When we arrived at my new home, Tom did not arrive. the movers handed me a cell phone and the nightmare began. Tom quoted me a higher price or the truck would not be unloaded. During negotiations the movers closed up the truck and drove off down the alley. I agreed to the price. The movers began unloading. I was in the bedroom and heard a truck drive off. I found the remainder of my items thrown in the alley, left outside damaged. By that time, Tom has blocked my phone from calling his. It took a year, but eventually I won a judgement against this company. In court, Tom arrived with his wife who was slurring about her past time in jail. The movers also gave off that 'just out of jail' vibe. The whole experience was a nightmare but I was determined to get justice in court and got it. Unfortunately, better business bureau only keeps info about companies for a set amount of time. At the time of my experience, there were enough complaints against this company to get them a low rating. I kept my court papers from that time as proof that I won a judgement against this company. BEWARE! I'll never forget the way they drove off with my stuff. When I tried to grab the footlocker with my personal stuff in it the movers stopped me and told me to get away from it. They were two big thugs and Tom was like a mafia guy. Nightmarish.
